i'm driving home from a hockey game last night and on the far side of the freeway and happen to notice a billboard.
not an incredibly fantastic set of events except for the fact that the billboard's message was installed upside-down.
trying to wrap my head around how a billboard worker crew gets past the first or even second strip of plaster and fails to stop and think 'hey these letters look funny for some reason'. i don't think one needs to be literate in order to recognize the basic concept of whether a set of letters is properly or improperly displayed.
is it some high-concept method of advertising that draws the desensitized eye to something obviously askew?
